We have just produced a strictly limited edition of 100 of each of our various festival posters. Each poster is numbered and signed by Wendy Bannister and Henrietta Bannister, in memory of Freddy Bannister, the promoter of these festivals and can include a short dedication if required..

The 1970 programme was probably the best ever seen in the UK.
The complete programme included Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, John Mayall's Blues Breakers (featuring Pete Green, The Byrds, Canned Heat, Dr John, Steppenwolf, Santana,Johnny Winter, Country Joe, It's a Beautiful Day, Flock, Hot Tuna, Keith Hartley, Colosseum, and Maynard Ferguson's Big Band,The Moody Blues, and Fairport Convention.

We decided to use a design which was completely different from the 60's psychedelic designs, which everyone was using at that time. The 1970 Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music poster is printed on brown paper and the design is based on a photo of an early marching Jazz Band. We felt that the programme was so strong we could use small type face with the names of the groups in equal size type, to which every manager except Peter Grant agreed, (Led Zeppelin is in double the size typeface of the other groups.)

When we first sent the poster to univerisities, record shops etc. we were worried we had underplayed it too much as fans just could not believe all these bands were appearing.

The Victoria and Albert Museum have the poster in their collection and a first printing has recently sold at Bonham's auction house for £1,800.

The poster sze is 30" x 20" (76cm x 50cm)
